All Halifax Community Health System facilities are tobacco-free environments. For the health and safety of our patients, employees, and visitors, tobacco use is strictly prohibited.

Halifax Community Health System strives to create an environment that is committed to all aspects of healthcare, wellness and prevention, as well as treatment. By making our environment tobacco-free, we are addressing the number one preventable health risk today.

Our policy applies to everyone on Halifax Community Health System campuses, owned or leased, including employees, students, patients, visitors, physicians, vendors, contractors and subcontractors. Tobacco use will be prohibited on all property, including the parking lots, parking garages, landscaped areas and entrances.
