This is the highest designation for such a program. As a Comprehensive Stroke Center, Halifax Medical Center offers specialized stroke care and technological resources that are simply not available at
primary stroke centers at other hospitals.

- The ability to perform surgical and endovascular techniques
- National certification from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO)
