Centers for Diabetes Education:
Classes
Diabetes is a serious condition that must be taken care of properly. We can help. At
the Halifax Medical Center for Diabetes Education we understand that managing diabetes can be tough. Our education program encourages you and your family to be active partners in your care and has been carefully
designed to help make living with diabetes easier.
Weekly classes are conducted by certified diabetes educators - a registered nurse and a registered dietitian - who are experienced in helping people with
diabetes lead healthier lives. In addition to group classes, you will meet with a Certified Diabetes Educator individually to discuss your personal needs. A registered dietitian will also develop a diet tailored
especially for you.
Group Classes meet weekly at Halifax Medical Center for four weeks. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required.
