Halifax Medical Center operates two centrally located Health Centers to supplement community care services available through its Emergency Department; Emergency Department Urgent Care Fast Track Unit; Urgent Care
Centers in Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach and Port Orange, and Family Health Centers in Port Orange and Daytona Beach.
At all of these facilities District residents with incomes below 200% of the Federal Poverty
Level are eligible for care through the Halifax Managed Healthcare Assistance program (HMHA), for which they may currently register in advance through the HMHA office at the hospital, and soon through additional
community organizations. To contact the HMHA office call 386-254-4019.
Halifax Dunn Health Center
In the Spring of 2005 the Halifax Dunn Health Center replaced the Halifax Crosslin Health Center, whose facilities had become inadequate to meet community needs, as the primary center for adult clinic
care. This Center offers a range of family practice style services to anyone over the age of 15. Appointments are recommended. Walk-In patients will be seen as time permits or referred to Halifax Express
Care located within the Halifax Medical Center Emergency Department on the main campus. The Halifax Dunn Health Center has been designed to provide facilities for specialty clinics to increase participation in
community care by specialists assisting in the community outreach program.
The Halifax Keech Health Center focuses on providing pediatric care to the community.
The Keech Health Center welcomes children of all ages and their parents for a full range of services keyed to juvenile health. Appointments are recommended, and those wishing immediate Walk-In care should check with the Center as to whether they can best be accommodated there or at an Urgent Care Center or the Emergency Department fast track unit.
